How this compares to Bluebook
College Board's Bluebook app has the official full-length practice tests, and you should take them. They're the closest thing to test day. The catch is that there are only a handful, and once you've taken them you've seen those questions. SAT Owl builds each test from a bank of 640 original questions in the same format, picking ones you haven't seen, so you can keep testing and see your progress.
Your first full test on SAT Owl is free. The Test Pass ($49 for 3 months) includes unlimited tests, unlimited practice, and unlimited time with Owl.
Tips for taking a practice test
Take it in one sitting, timed, at the same time of day as your real test (the SAT starts around 8:30 a.m.).
Use scratch paper and the built-in Desmos calculator, the same tools you'll have on test day.
Answer every question. There's no penalty for guessing.
Spend more time reviewing than you spent testing. The points come from understanding why you missed what you missed.
Ready?
Set aside about two and a half hours, grab scratch paper, and start when you're ready. If you need to stop, you can resume the module you were on.
