Enter the section scores from each SAT you've taken. The calculator adds your highest Reading and Writing score to your highest Math score and shows how far that is above your best single test date.
Section scores run from 200 to 800 in steps of 10. Leave a row blank if you haven't taken that test.

A superscore rises when one section goes up, so it helps to know which one to work on. SAT Owl's free 24-question diagnostic samples all 8 content domains and gives you a predicted score for each section, plus the skills costing you the most points.
Take the free diagnosticA superscore takes your best Reading and Writing score from any test date and your best Math score from any test date, then adds them. Say you scored 640 in Reading and Writing and 600 in Math in March, for a 1240, then 610 and 680 in June, for a 1290. Your best single test is 1290, but your superscore is 640 + 680 = 1320. At a college that superscores, the lower June Reading and Writing score and the lower March Math score don't count against you.
College Board's help center says most colleges consider a student's best section scores across all test dates. Some ask for every score and others ask for one test date only, so check the testing page on each college's admissions site. Our guide to SAT superscoring covers the common policies.
You can't superscore across tests. College Board and ACT both say not to combine SAT and ACT section scores. To compare the two, use our ACT to SAT conversion.
Score Choice lets you pick which test dates to send. You can't send Math from one date and Reading and Writing from another, so for the superscore above you'd send both March and June.
If you aren't sure what to send, College Board suggests sending all your scores, since most colleges consider your best score.
At a college that superscores, another test can't lower your superscore. A weaker section on the new test is ignored. College Board recommends taking the SAT at least twice, in the spring of junior year and the fall of senior year, and says most students get a higher score the second time.
Use the table above to plan your prep. If one section trails the other by 60 points or more, put most of your study time there, because that's the score most likely to move your superscore. Keep doing some practice in your stronger section too. A college that uses your highest single test date needs both sections to be strong on the same day. Our guide on whether to retake the SAT covers when another test is worth the fee and the weeks of prep.
Take a full-length practice test a few weeks before your next SAT. SAT Owl's free practice test is timed and adaptive like the real test and gives you a score for each section, so you can see whether your weaker section has moved since your last SAT.
Take the free practice testYour highest Reading and Writing score plus your highest Math score, taken from any of your SAT test dates. If you scored 640 and 600 in March and 610 and 680 in June, your superscore is 640 + 680 = 1320.

No. Score Choice lets you choose which test dates to send, but each date goes out as a full score with both sections. A college that superscores builds the superscore from the dates you send.
