A hiking club recorded the length xx, in miles, and the completion time yy, in minutes, for 4040 hikes. The line of best fit for the data is y=22x+15y = 22x + 15. Based on the line of best fit, what is the predicted completion time, in minutes, for a hike that is 66 miles long?

Answer: 147

Substitute x=6x = 6 into the equation: y=22(6)+15=132+15=147y = 22(6) + 15 = 132 + 15 = 147 minutes.

Stopping at 22(6)=13222(6) = 132 leaves out the 1515 minutes in the equation.
